Blood Transfusion Today

This is a mini update since there isn't too much to report at this time. Yesterday, Shyra slept most of the day. She is still having difficulty sitting up, and she is still dizzy while standing.

Mom has been essential to Shyra's care and recovery, keeping an eye on her around the clock, keeping her hydrated, eating, & comfortable. (see the photo gallery for a picture of mom and Shyra together).

This morning, at 10:30am, Shyra will be going in to Kaiser for a 6 hour blood transfusion. We are hopeful this will really help turn things around for her physically, to restore her blood cells and give her the energy she needs to get back on her feet.
